It's a 16-player online slash 'em up Royale! A bit camp and lots of violence!

This excellent preview by God is a Geek provides plenty of info on the game and how it works.

Let It Die was a Grasshopper game from a few years ago. Just looked it up and this is directly related - same publisher in GungHo and Supertrick is a studio spun out from Grasshopper. I've not played Let It Die but I still might give this a try!

That's right, Orange - this seems to be pretty much the same developers but without Suda51! I never did try out Let it Die but it looked neat albeit it was apparently pay-to-win. Whereas that was more focused on single player gameplay, this new title is multiplayer (16 at a time) and it seems that their are no pay-to-win elements; the optional purchases are cosmetic.

I like the vibe of this and I'm hoping it's gonna be fun; I will give it a go on PS5.

The game has had a pretty positive preview from Siliconera. I was a little unsure at first but this is starting to grow on me; am looking forward to the 28th :-).

Well... Deathverse. What happened?

It seems that the development is in progress and that the game is changing to reflect more of the style and gameplay seen in it's predecessor, Let it Die. Probably a good thing.

No (re)release date has been announced but I hope it's soon.
