It's a fun sounding gameplay feature that you can turn off if you don't like it. I'd say that's a thumbs up.

There's been enough serious zombie games out there as it is.

The game will include SmartGlass-only aspects.

"During the campaign... you'll get calls from a character that are only on the SmartGlass device. So if you don't have SmartGlass, you won't get those calls from that guy. Which also means you won't get those missions."

This doesn't, however, mean you'll be unable to complete the main story without SmartGlass.

"His storyline is his own. And it interweaves with the main storyline. Without it, you're not losing out on what the story is. But you're getting more out of the game."

It sounds cool, but I'm not keen on game features that require additional non-standard kit. Hopefully Microsoft will make the SmartGlass-needed stuff just small extras for games rather than creating bigger chunks of gameplay in this way.

SmartGlass is available on every single smart phone device and tablet.

I'd say that covers a heck of a lot of people. There aren't many philistines left with a Nokia 3310.

If a zombie apocalypse happens I probably won't put on a dress and ride a tricycle but this is supposed to be a Dead Rising game.

That's why DR3 is different. I prefer more serious zombie games. Clearly a few of you don't.

Dead Rising should never be a serious zombie game. The franchise is ruined now, and it's all your fault, Glowly.

Of course zombies makes sense.

And they'll make sense when it happens for real, and while you'll last 2 seconds trying to hit them with a golf ball ill have used all of my media experience of zombies to survive maybe a few more days :shifty:
