Not being a dick but how many of those games did MS publish?

I can only think of a couple. Alan Wake, Lost Planet and Mass Effect of the 3rd party exclusive games. Wasn't one of the Viva Pinata's ported by a 3rd party to the DS? Or did I imagine that? I'm not sure on that one.

Dead Rising 1 never made it to another system so I guess it's entirely possible this is actually exclusive exclusive.

Well... Dead Rising 1 was on another console.

Plus Mass Effect was eventually released on the PS3 but it's mainly cos of EA takeover of Bioware. Yes, there was a Viva Pinata game on the DS but I don't think it's a direct port.

Splinter Cell conviction was a rare example of one that stayed that way.

Knowing Capcom, they'll do a "update" version of Dead Rising 3 like DR2: Off The Record and release it multiplatform. All they need to do is drop the number "3" to get around the exclusive deal. :shifty:

Anyway, the more I read about it, the more I don't like it. Appealing to the Call of Duty crowd? Christ on a bike.

Those of you idiots saying its changing for the better, part of the problem and you should end yourselves. A genuinely unique standalone product changed into an utter failure of a mimicry. Pitiful.

Makes sense in a way i guess. If its a bone exclusive, may as well dudebro it to strawberry float cause itll only be bought by retards anyway.
Decision to get a PS4 just keeps getting easier and easier.

The maniacs, they blew it up. God damn you, god damn you to hell!

Thing is? Once you say you want the CoD market, you're strawberry floated. The people who buy CoD, buy CoD and that's it. They don't want to play DR 3 CoD edition, they'll just keep playing CoD.

I think its more designed to appeal to the Walking Dead crowd, or at least the crossover in the mass market, people who play CoD and Fifa and watch zombie TV shows and films.

It's still "Dead Rising" in name. The same setting, the same story.

Shame it's a gooseberry fool stripped down port.

Some Kinect info (which is optional):-

Sense the Danger

With the all-new Kinect, the zombie horde can hear beyond the screen and respond to noises inside your living room.

A load more info here - http://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/games/dead-rising-3

Dead Rising 3's optional use of the Xbox One's mandatory Kinect gifts its zombies with a level of situational awareness you may not want them to have, truth be told. "They can hear," a Capcom representative told us during a demonstration at E3. "If you want to call a zombie or distract [a zombie], you just yell at your Kinect and they'll respond to you."

Sounds useful in a stealth situation, but what if you're not as good at staying quiet as you'd like, or your roommate comes home at a tense moment, taking the frustration of his lousy day out on your front door? Are the zombies listening that closely?

"That's part of the joke," executive producer Josh Bridge said. We asked whether the zombies would respond to specific words or just sounds in general, and while exact details regarding the mechanic won't be revealed until further into production, "for the most part, zombies don't understand English." Bridge added that the microphone sensitivity will be tuned to a "threshold that makes sense," so that attracting zombies will, by and large, feel like an intentional decision. Of course, the functionality can be disabled entirely.

Dead Rising 3 will have a story and missions exclusive to Smart Glass.

Will this be a useful thing? I doubt it.

I think I might buy DR2: Off The Record today as a form of protest. And because I really want to buy the game.

I haven't played it either but only because I really dislike the weapon creation system. Which they've seen fit to include in this new one (albeit slightly altered) instead choosing to get rid of the colourful, stylised fun art style. Go figure.

Oh wow the game can hear microphone inputs? Truly revolutionary technology.

There's nothing wrong with the weapon creation system in DR2. You don't have to do it if you don't like it. It's not a feature that will halt your progress on the story if you don't use it at all.

What a strange complaint.

There was nothing wrong with one of DR2's main new features! You didn't even have to use it!

But seriously, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I just found it limited (a lot of the time when I went to create a weapon I found no such combo weapon existed) and the whole combo cards things was just so unnecessary. Add to that the fact the more I played it the more I missed Frank West.

Well, you can create combo weapons with good old Frank in DR2: Off The Record. ;)

I personally don't find any problems with the combo weapons, as I tend to stick to the ones that's more useful and last longer.

It's just a small feature of DR2/Off The Record. You can play it like you do in Dead Rising 1.
