Why would I read generally poorly written opinion pieces on a medium heavily guided toward the immature and juvenile when I could divert that energy toward reading actual engaging factual pieces for other mediums.

I actually think games 'journalism' is worse than those single paragraph movie reviews in the tabloids. And frankly Id find it embarrassing to tell anyone that it was something I was following.

I never buy a game without consulting Jo Garcia first.

Waaaa. Bleeding heart male feminists  If he actually had standards he would avoid the whole of future publishing and not moan because his journalism isn't good enough to be in the more mature mags or websites run by them.

There's a difference between objectifying women and hating them. He's just going for tabloid sensationalism in his rant against CVG. He seems a perfect fit for them if it weren't for his hate of sexy people.

There are plenty engaging factual pieces for video games. And if you're so bothered about games being immature and juvenile, why do you play them? There are writers within this field that are as good as, if not better than, many other critics of other media.

I actually think games 'journalism' is worse than those single paragraph movie reviews in the tabloids.

No you don't. And if you genuinely do, you're an idiot.

You mean Edge, the magazine he was employed by for several years? :fp:

Alright then, name me a recent engaging factual piece that isnt on 'how the industry is dying and must save itself'.

Didn't even have to think about that. I could easily provide a dozen more, but this is pointless.

Too many words. Could you condense it into a paragraph?

I like this article. I was hooked after they showed me the video of the dead guy.

Can I find a similar review for TDKR with some footage from the Aurora cinema?

Some assholes can't help but get themselves into arguments on social media.

It's pretty funny to read, though.

Why are you comparing an article to a review? How could the two be in any way similar? Or has your flimsy argument just been found out and so you're resorting to pathetic trolling tactics?

No, I just added that for comedic effect. The article genuinely did hook me after showing me the dead guy. In the end though it turned out to be another 'what must we change/learn for the industry'.

I agree with you on this one Falsey. I find them to be mostly a right load of bollocks and there's a lot more worth reading out there. But in their defence you do get the odd well written piece and some interesting articles amongst the endless brand-biased bullshit and childish nonsense.

I can do this all day. Oh, and for a comment to add 'comedic effect' it generally has to be funny. Just FYI.
