Metroid Prime 2 and Runner 2. Both awesome sequels.

I'm in the Sanctuary fortress in Prime 2. Just went back to Torvus bog to get the powerbomb upgrade. I hate the area that it's in. It's like an underwater maze where I get lost constantly.

Syndicate actually turned out not too bad at all, but Brink was and remains dreadful.

Doom BFG on 360 came trough the post today, so as it's my day off I'll be playing that.

I sure hope that's the one he means.

I'm sure he means this one.

It's nothing like the original, but with Starbreeze Studios behind the wheel it turned out as a competent enough FPS.

Man, no matter how many times I play it Doom 3 still manages to gooseberry fool me right up. That spooky voice saying how they "took her baby" followed by children's crying then laughing gets me every time. :dread:

Think I'm about half way through Killzone Shadow Fall, yeah it's got a bit better. There's a very unsteady mix between stealth and when to 'go loud'. They tend to merge together so often that it's pointless being stealthy. As in, it's rare (in fact, once) that you can sneak through a section undetected. Kinda feels like a waste, really. The Vita version was better for it.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 (360)

Man I'm having lot of fun with it. Really pleased with it, looks like I'll probably get all way to end, which I didn't bother with terrible original.

Killzone: Shadowfall (PS4)

Didn't think much of the first and second chapters, but chapter 3 is

The dead spaceship Cassandra...stunning level design, fantastic atmosphere and although it's Killzone going a bit 'Dead Space' it's the first time since getting the PS4 I've looked at the visuals and really gone 'wow'. Truly next-gen sci-fi corridors FTW.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (HD)

Started this the other day despite owning the HD collection since it came out. I'm a huge MGS fan, but truth be told I've ever played through MGS3 once. It came out at a time when I was too busy with work to put more than one play through into it and as much as I enjoyed it, MGS2 stood out as the better game for me (at the time anyway)

Right off the bat the third person camera makes the game so much better, even flicking between the old view and the new view you realise how much the camera was dictating to where you went. I'm near the boss battle with 'The Fear', so I've a good chunk left, and so far I'm having a blast with it. My one and only play through of it when it first came out I sort of blasted through it due to not having the proper time to just strawberry float around with the game, this time I'm making sure to take full advantage of all the tools the game gives you. I wasn't even aware you could poison guards with snakes captured alive :fp:

It's also worth noting how strawberry floating great the game still looks. Sure this is the HD version of it, but the same engine that ran on the PS2 is under the hood here and even stuff like the water and grass moving as you wander through it is hardly replicated in most current gen games.

I've a bit to go yet, but it looks like my order of favourite MGS games is getting a reshuffle.

The audio logs in that level are incredible.

MGS2 better than MGS3!? That's madness mate, I'll put it down to your young age at the time.

After the original MGS, MGS3 is the best in the series. Much better than 2 and 4.

I wish they would do a HD remake of the original with camera / controls from the latter games. The originals story is ace but the camera dates it badly now.

I love MGS3 because they toned down the OTT bullshit, it felt like a back to basics spy game.

And big boss > solid snake

They already did. Twin Snakes, on GameCube.

Going through a "evil" play through on infamous. Cant seem to get a evil Karma moment against this mini boss. As soon as it starts the gas can blows up automatically so I can't I cant shoot it & fry people  :fp:

One more try & if it doesn't do it I'll just have to put up been a boring goody two shoes.

Did it have free camera control? Besides they need to release it on a format people can actually play these days.
