I haven't touched the other three, and was hoping this might be something special for a franchise that everyone raves about. Everything about it was disappointing (seriously, thanks to the terrible checkpointing on the first level I had to play through the getting the OWL to saving that other team three or four times), so I pretty quickly figured it wasn't worth my time.
If it had a co-op mode I'd have stuck with it for a bit longer, but they forgot to put that in too so I traded it in as soon as I could.
(also, I said "for a flagship game, it's an abomination". I'd expect a first-party big budget AAA title to have had a little love and attention spent on it, and Shadow Fall just didn't. I guess you could say it's a bit of a Shadow Fail. ho ho ho)
