Been playing bunch of PC games at the moment, mixture of Sonic Transformed (MP and trying to get all World Tour Stars), Starbound (Love it), Thomas Was Alone, Super Meat Boy (Just trying to get all levels beaten, on second world's boss fight :dread: ), Batman Arkham Asylum (on Hard), Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon (So far... pretty average, but fun) and I might start first episode of Wolf Among Us tonight and/or Sam & Max S3 Episode 4.

PC gaming, how I miss you

EDF is dumb fun, better in co-op though.

Yeah, just need co-op buddies. The problem is I don't really like fighting these flying ship things, bit strawberry floated up when I'm trying to fight through huge bugs.

When spiders show up I went "Oh strawberry float"

Pixeljunk Monsters: Ultimate

Only played it for an hour or two but already can see a lot of time and effort went into making it different from typical Tower Defense games.

It's also bloody hard too.

I started playing Final Fantasy II/IV (the SNES one), and I'm pleasantly surprised so far. I played the original FF at the start of the year, and it was just a big grind. You need this item, in this dungeon, so spend HOURS grinding up to be appropriate level. I'm only a few hours into IV, but there's been no grinding required yet (I know it's coming) and there's been plenty of story.

Also started playing Modern Warfare 3 for the first time. I can't believe how much the quality dipped in 4 years from the first Modern Warfare. I know most of the people at the studio left, but I'm not enjoying it at all. There's a mission fairly early on where you're in a 3 man team and you have to sneak through an enemy camp. The problem is you don't need to sneak at all, as it's all scripted so every patrol is timed for you to pass, every guard turning their back just as you come by.

MW3 was pretty crummy. A particular low point for the series.

Been playing a lot of games on XBLA today. Bloodrayne Betrayal, Doom, Duke Nukem 3D and R Type.

Also had a few races on Forza 4.

I've been playing The Walking Dead. Played Episode Three start to finish tonight. Relentless kicks in the feels and the balls. I've shouted "What the strawberry float?" numerous times at games glitching and being cheap but never before at an actual story moment in a game. When Carley got shot though, strawberry floating hell. I can see why this game's so highly rated.

Replaying Max Payne 3 and going for the "kill 10 dudes using bullet time in a row" and it just hammers home how many cutscenes there really are in this game. I barely even get close to counting 10 kills before another strawberry floating cut scene starts playing.

I have been mostly playing....

Assassins Creed IV - The first one I've played since II and to be honest it's not massively different. I found them all fairly repetitive after a while and I can see this going the same way. The bits out on the ocean are great Piratey fun though and may very well keep me playing a lot longer. Good fun, but nothing amazing.

Final Fantasy VIII - Been wanting to replay one of the PS1 FF games for a while and 8 felt like the under-appreciated of the three so thought I'd give it a go and see if I can finally finish one of these damn games (I got to the last boss in 9 before I lost my memory card  ). Playing it through on epsxe as my PS3 doesn't like my disc copy (The platinum label version isn't compatible with it for some reason) and I can't be arsed digging out my PS2. This has the nice side effect of letting me upgrade the graphics a bit and stream it as I play. So far I'm about 15/16 hours in and only just into the second disc and I'm loving every minute of it. I finally think I understand the Junction system and so far I've not had any really challenging battles as I've got everyone set up in a really nice way. In fact I only just had my first game-over and reload because I forgot that anything with a time limit doesn't stop while you're in the menus and I spent too long prepping for a boss battle, leaving me only 4:30 to take the damn thing out. Even more annoying was that I DID take it out just as the clock ticked over to 0:00. Now I have to go back to my last save which is at least an hour behind due to some draw-spamming I did and will now have to repeat. :fp:

Oh and I've been dabbling in Valkyria Chronicles II on PSP and Tiny Death Star on my Kindle Fire HD. Which are both enjoyable.

Late shift today so once the kids were at school I managed a couple of ours of gaming before setting off to work. Played a bit of Alien Breed, KOFUM and a few races on Forza 4.

I've just got an Xbox One and am currently dividing my time between Need for Speed and FIFA. I should be getting Assassins Creed for Christmas too.

Losing the will to finish Assassins Creed 3.
Been trying to get 100% on this stupid tea party mission (sequence 6).

I keep getting a constant reminder to chuck tea overboard, It's like listening to my granny.
Makes it worse when there is a protect these two gangstas whilst they stand there & take a beating. Ummm cant they fight themselves. No. Oh goody so now whilst I'm trying to synch 100% I have to try & protect these clowns. Great game!11!1!!!1!!!11!!1

Trying to perform an air musket assassination but I'm constantly surrounded by 50 angry dudes at a wild orgy & I can't pick one up as I try & exit but can't as Connor seems to stay & wants to get slapped about. Great.

The wort offender though is the camera.
I genuinely do dislike this game so much, it's terrible.

In his defence the game is awful and that bit is dire.
