Lost Frontier was actually pretty good, yeah. I'm far too cack handed on the Vita to get particularly far in it.

Beat the Gaping Dragon in Dark Souls. Big vagina monster. Going to Blight town. Game still continues to enthrall me. Feels good man.

Edit - Made it through Blighttown and found a bonfire by the swamp. That was literally the scariest thing I've ever played in a videogame. I had 20000 odd souls by the end of it. I was so worried I'd lose them all and end up back at that godforsaken bonfire in the middle of Blighttown. That ring I found back at the Undead Asylum worked wonders, plus the spider shield and the poisonbite ring. strawberry floating terrible framerate as well :dread:

At one point, my sister creep up behind me and placed her hand on my shoulder. I jumped out of my skin :slol: I want to go back to the Firelink Shrine now because this is freaking me out and I need supplies.

Zelda: Link to the Past

As much as I enjoy it, I don't think it's best 2D Zelda game. Honestly I've had more fun with Link's Awakening, and Link Between the Worlds really made it outdated in some aspects.

Still one of amazing games on SNES, I'd rank Super Metroid and Super Mario World higher though.

Zelda: Wind Waker HD.

Kept me up all night  Love it, and new stuff in HD version makes it even better game  There's just something about it I really love over Twilight Princess / Skyward Sword (and Ocarina of Time I guess). Just got second pearl but I'm taking my time exploring the sea with much improved sailing with new sail I got from auction house :D

When I've had time, I've mostly been playing Hearthstone (PC). There is definitely an element of 'pay to win' to it but it's still possible to win plenty of games as a 'free' player with basic cards. I lack competent arena skills but I'd say I win about 70% of the matches I play in ranked mode. I've got a couple of legendary cards from packs I've opened (bought with in-game gold, not real money) but they are the worst ones so I never use them.

I've been playing a bit of Diablo 3 again (PC) and it is a much, much better game than the last time I tried it (about 18 months ago). I don't think I'll be buying the expansion straight away but I'm glad to see that most of the stuff I hated (the entire loot system and economy being designed around the auction house bullshit) has been removed or fixed. The paragon levelling system seems really cool as well so I'll definitely put a bit more time into it.

I've also gone back to Tales of Graces F (PS3) to try and finish it but it's inevitable that I will get annoyed with the crap story and characters and stop again.

Lastly I'm still getting some quality time with my 3DS but I'm mainly playing a DS title called 'The Dark Spire' at the moment. It's a really great classic dungeon crawler that has very basic presentation but has an amazing amount of depth to its gameplay.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, I love this game. While it's not technically amazing visually I think it looks brilliant, and has a really nice atmosphere. Combat is fun, and I like how fast travel is hard to come by, it means you have to set for a proper quest whenever doing a mission, even escort missions feel worthwhile, and the little cinematic bit when you complete it  And it doesn't force you to play again to experience everything, you can just change in and out of classes at will (but obviously this forces a step back in terms of exp). Also, if anyone is planning to play the game, make sure you enable English subtitles and Japanese audio, saves you from the dire English voice acting and improves the atmosphere immensely!

Haven't experienced any online features yet, and one very annoying thing, no hotkeys as far as I can tell, makes going a mixed class far less intuitive than it could be :x

The worst thing about DA is how they cut that cheesy (but brilliant) song from the title.

Really hope they continue with the series on the new gen consoles.

Good luck with the Dark Arisen portion of the game.

That is terrible. This is the one from Dark Arisen which I have to admit I've grown to love, in general the music is nice I thought, reminds of FFXII or something like that.

Also I went to the Dark Arisen bit at like level 6 not knowing it was a DLC area and swiftly had to run away like a bitch

Yeah, I played through the main game a couple of times before I felt confident enough to tackle the DLC. Thankfully I had Raze's high level character to help me along.

Prefer the DD theme is cheesy and a bit gooseberry fool but catchy.

Killed Moonlight Butterfly and Chaos Witch Queelag. The latter was the biggest stumbling point I've had in the game so far. Eventually got her, but it was a tense fight. Almost died due to the area attack she does (when her torso flops down onto the spider body). What an absolute bitch. I was so happy when I finally killed her.

I think every Souls player has fell foul of Quelaag's area of effect attack at least once.

The hardest part was keeping an eye on the lava pools she creates. Her sword attacks were easy to avoid, but backpedaling into a pile of lava isn't good. Maneater Mildred was so strawberry floating useless.

I opened Sen's Fortress, explored it a little, promptly died. Trying to get better gear to take that on. Gained Havel's Ring, which allows me to equip the elite armor and still have ease of movement. Need a better weapon now, been using an upgraded magic longsword and I need to either upgrade it or get something new.

Maneater Mildred is mostly good for keeping the boss aggroed.

Do you have a Black Knight Sword by any chance? It's a random drop from a sword and shield wielding Black Knight (such as the one in Undead Burg). With the right stats to wield it this weapon should serve you well throughout the entire game, into NG+ and beyond.

I used a Drake Sword for most of the early part of the game but since it doesn't scale with your stats it quickly becomes just as useless as it was handy.

I found Mildred just got stuck in the lava. I preferred fighting on my own. I don't have that sword, although I have killed a few of those guys. I have the Uchigatana, which I have now leveled up. Not a bad sword.

Finished Sen's Fortress (strawberry float THAT PLACE), and I'm now in Anor Londo. I'm going to press forward and hopefully find some shortcuts back to previous areas from here. The thought of having to climb to the top of Sen's again fills me with despair. I couldn't find a shortcut down it from the top, although I got a key for a cage. I have no idea what this is for.

Played some more AC4 last night, and realised that the guy I thought was a lot like Shaun in the coffee shop actually is Shaun.

Whoever decided to put archers in Anor Londo, well done! This is the first time this game has felt cheap as strawberry float. I cannot do this whatsoever. My bow is shite and I'm out of poison arrows.

So much rage right now.

Edit - Got past it. Poison them, go make a sandwich, eat sandwich, come back, both dead. strawberry float YOU.

Smough and Ornstein though :dread: The throne room leading up to them as well :dread:

Pokemon Diamond

I thought I was a bit too old for pokemon when the gameboy games came out (I was about 17) and generally ignored them until I played fire red out of curiosity a few years ago and thought it was pretty good if slightly too child-friendly. I'm now 30+ hours into this and I'm slightly addicted to it.

The battle animations could have done with improving though as they're pretty much the same as they were in the GBA games.

Just Cause 2

Went back to this for a few hours today. Easily one of my favourite games on the 360. I've got a couple of achievements left now, but still only at 59% completion. :dread: There are so many villages. Always good to kill some time though, and always entertaining.
