SC Blacklist? I've got a copy of that on the way. It's not a gaming genre that I usually play, but it looked decent. I'll be rubbish at the game, though, so any poor checkpointing will be a drag.

Playing the the original, not got far like

Ha-ha! I got that when I bought my original Xbox and I've never played it, either :fp: . The bad checkpointing will trip me up when I eventually get round to playing it :D .

Metro LL

I *hate* jump scares. Jump scares + dark areas = cheap scares. However there was a moment in the game where I went to loot the currency bullets and out of nowhere a monster appeared and grabbed at me. It happened so quickly and was *so* unexpected that it didn't even make me jump  It was more like jump wtf happened there? than a jump scare.

Despite that I enjoyed the last level and am now on to Dark Water.

Yep, easily one of the best games of last gen. Hard to think of many games that come close to it. It delivers on so many levels.

Castlevania Lords of Shadows 2 (PC)

Played about an hour so far, not as good as the first game but still enjoyed what little I've played.

Started playing Knack after rage-quitting Need for Speed Rivals, and err...
Y'know the bits in the classic Ratchet and Clank games, where you're Clank, and you just run about small-like, punching crates and frogs and whatever? It's exactly the same as that.
And when Knack grows - y'know the bits in the classic Ratchet and Clank games, where you're Clank, and you just stomp about big-like, punching robots and shooting big balls of energy? It's exactly the same as that.

I loved the first one but the kicking No2 received off Edge after they to enjoyed the first really put me off. Worth waiting until it hits the bargain bin maybe?

It is, sacked it off in the 2nd level. An insult, to be honest. It's remarkably old-school but the mechanics are just gooseberry fool.

Uncharted (Vita)

I was expecting this to be a third-rate UC game (shush, Maf) a la UC3 and so I put off playing it for the longest time. Now that I have finally gotten around to playing it I have to say that it's actually quite good! So good that I would say it was second only to UC2.
It started very slolwly and the *pew pew pew* isn't as fun as in 2 but the more I play it the more I am enjoying it. I am now in a tomb like stage and absolutely loving it. The devs should have used more fire/torch light instead of global as when they do it ramps up the whole Indiana Jones vibe without even trying.
My biggest gripe is that there is sometimes too much fine graphical detail for such a small screen.

Darksiders II on 360 past few days, it's good but I wonder if I'll end up liking it as someone here did or ended up thinking it's meh as few people here did.

May as well enjoy it whenever I play it, the combat is bitch though - playin it on hardest difficulty. Considering I manage fine in original I don't know why I often take hits in this one - I evade lot but sometimes enemies attack fairly instantly :?

At third 'dungeon' and I haven't done much in overworld section, not that there's any actual point as none of chests are 'unique' apart from maybe comic book pages - I'll still try to get them of course, just I'm not fussed about leaving them for another time.

I also got Lego Movie Videogame on 360 for my birthday today, gonna give it a proper go later on.

Pokemon Fire Red on the game boy micro I bought off ebay that turned up today. This thing

Gona try a nuzlock challenge for a change, anyone done one? Gone with charmander to begin with, to match fire red and because it's not such a bad choice now it can learn metal claw at like lvl 12/13.
