Watched all 6 of the new ones back-to-back last night, can't believe it took so long. The quality is almost as good as the first two seasons - the bit where they do the polygraph test was absolutely amazing

Also, spoiler regarding an upcoming episode and piece of casting - from Wikipedia so take it as you will but.. :datass: if true!

Decent new ep this week, hope John Oliver gets more regular screen time in place of Glover as he's the next best thing

Episode 6 wasn't the best of the this series but damn if it didn't feel exactly like a season 1 episode. And I mean that in the best possible way. John Oliver, Mike from Breaking Bad as a Pierce replacement, Abed's random girl of the week, Chang being something other than bat gooseberry fool mental...They even had licenced music, something I'm pretty sure hasn't happened since season 2.

So happy they've gotten their groove back. :D

Gillian Jacobs, Jim Rash, Danny Pudi were on last nights edition. It's S02E28.

Decent return. All 3 plots were pretty good and mostly a more grounded episode.

I don't understand why the episodes based totally around an insane premise get such a bad rap.

They're fun, what exactly is the problem?

It wasn't fun at all. It was like the Hunger Deans all over again.

Also, there's "insane" and then "insane :dread: ".

Stuff like the blanket fort episodes are the former. Stuff like the Hunger Deans, anything involving the Dreamatorium, and Meowmeowbeans are the latter.

I enjoyed the episode. Not the best of the newer ones, but it definitely wasn't as bad as season 4.

The "wacky" episodes that are the best are the ones that still have plenty of good jokes in them and aren't sidetracked by trying too hard to fulfil its premise. This was somewhere in the middle, I thought.
