If it is about Walliams, it's won't be about his on-stage behaviour:

Just saw someone describe Walliams as "A bag of oily eels in a human skin suit" and I can't say I disagree.

Feels like the Walliams dam is about to break.

The great Sean Lock had him nailed, when he described his faux camp act as being a “pink minstrel”.

I thought for sure Dispatches would be about Walliams (originally the rumours were it would include a few alleged comedians).

Presumably a tweet from the accused on Sunday night will be the first we'll know of who the Panorama episode is focused on (if it's even about something similar to Brand).

It's hard to come out with a shocking episode of TV revealing how terrible David Walliams is when Little Britain already exists

You'd hope that the Walliams footage would be enough for some kind of conviction if one of the victims wanted to press charges. I mean, he's literally committing sexual assault on film. The whole "pretending" to be a predatory character is completely transparent, like Brand's sex addict persona but even more on the nose.

That horrifying Walliams video is basically textbook example of the bystander effect.

You can be straight and still commit sexual assault against someone of the same sex.

This pretty much sums up every story to ever come out of my school’s rugby team whenever they went on tour.

Regardless of sexual intent the videos of Walliams above just demonstrate a total lack of respect for boundaries or consent. Not hard to imagine that lack of respect continuing behind closed doors.

Walliams has been doing the same "I'm camp so not a danger to anyone" bit since Games Word in 1993. 30 years he has been at it.

Horrible little man, long time coming. Can't wait for Matt Lucas to throw him under the bus as they hate each other.

Guys this was back in the mid noughties a completely different time with different attitudes. Have some perspective before you judge.

It's nice to know that despite being demonetised, the YouTube algorithm makes sure to push Russell Brand's content to the point that it appears on my feed, even though i've never watched any of his stuff let alone accessed his channel. :|

I mean. Maybe that's just how he is?

I can't imagine anyone who grew up in the 80's being like "oh yeah, let me act gay so people think I'm harmless"

In the 70s/80s being camp/gay in real life would result in horrific abuse.

But, British TV and music LOVED camp/gay people and characters. Cross dressing was almost mandatory in shows like Monty Python. Boy George was a massive star, so much so that he was huge in America. John Inman was insanely popular. Frankie Howerd was beloved. Kenny Everett had immense popularity.

Walliams might not be gay and he might genuinely be camp. But he's intelligent enough to know that acting gay wasn't ever going to be a handicap to success on TV.

It also didn't exactly help with cliches and stereotypes of queer people, especially actors and comedians themselves not actually queer, kind of like blaxploitation but really the opposite. Making that a subject of mockery and derision, and thus an easy target if you are actually queer (only not also a paedo or in any way sexually deviant by simply being queer).

And then if you are queer but don't act like that, you must be up to something - and potentially even more dangerous.

Russell Brand: Thames Valley Police investigates allegations

Russell Brand is being investigated by a second police force in the wake of allegations about the comedian.

Thames Valley Police said a woman contacted the force two weeks ago with "new information" in relation to reports of "harassment and stalking".

The Metropolitan Police previously confirmed it had received a "number of allegations of sexual offences".

Brand has been accused of rape and sexual assaults during a seven-year period at the height of his fame.

The allegations were made in a joint investigation by the Sunday Times, the Times and Channel 4's Dispatches.
