The best simpsons animation bit is easily homer's heart attack. Watch it frame by frame on DVD and there's so many subtle jerks in his movement. It's super and wouldn't happen nowadays.

Yeah thats the gif I meant Stu - and Ryall is bang on the money with that one too. Its half the reason the show is so incredibly dead. Nobody working on it even gives a strawberry float.

Watched Bart gets an F for the first time in ages, such a brilliant episode thanks to the pacing and how everything builds up to the climax where Bart breaks down into tears, it's such a great moment and one that later episodes weren't able to replicate. The voice actors really tried with that episode and it just makes you realise how good the writing and delivery was back then.
