I'm hoping the jump forward to 1931 doesn't happen straight away.

If it does then that means no more Rothstein! :x

All the previews says it's better than ever, although only the first 3 episodes have been sent out to reviewers. It supposedly starts off with a bang and never lets up. No season lull this time.

AV Club says that's exactly what happens. It also skips the Valentine's Day Massacre.

Just watched the first episode (which was great) and yep, he died off-screen. :(

I liked the flashbacks. They really should have done them seasons ago, though. Would definitely have helped Nucky be more interesting. Still have to catch up with half the cast so really looking forward to next week. Poor Chalky White. :(

Enjoyed season 1-2 but gooseberry fool is boring as strawberry float everytime I try to watch it.

It's like sleeping medicine for me. ''I can't sleep....hm, put on Boardwalk''

Out like a baby 20 minutes later.

''Saying it's because I was controlling you and making you sad when actually I just asked you to wear some trousers''

There should definitely be more explosions in the show, I'll give you that.

I wasn't so keen on that episode. Usually I love this show but I think the time skip and lack of Rothstein has put a downer on things.

Nucky's flashbacks are more interesting than his current story, but do we really need to devote half an episode to them (and presumably there will be more) in the final short season? I love the new bodyguard though!

Most interesting is the Luciano story, and that hopefully will be the big focus this season.
I look forward to seeing where the Chalky story goes and why he was in chains to begin with.
Didn't really want to see Margaret again but that was a pretty good way to get her back.

Wasn't bad overall, but with such a short season and so many characters I expected things to move a bit quicker than usual, not slow down.

Enjoyed the opening episode. I liked Nucky's flashbacks although the reduced scope this brought was a little frustrating. I'm really eager to find out where the rest of the characters have ended up. And of course RIP Rothstein. :(

Another great episode, much better than the first. Capone is a psycho. Imagine trying to work for a guy like that. The elevator scene was outstanding. And I LOVE Nucky's new bodyguard.

I stopped watching this after the season where
Jimmy Dies
I can't remember what season that was... Is it worth persevering? As I found that Whingeing Margaret woman a chore to put up with.

Another great episode. Some nice touches like Nucky meeting with JFK's dad briefly in New York. A shame in some ways that I already know the history of Capone, Luciano and Lansky. Great stuff.

Every season is better than the previous one, so yes absolutely.

This week's episode: Van Alden and Eli are going to be great together.

I'm watching on Sky Atlantic on Saturday nights. Loved the first episode, I can't believe its the final season.

I wonder why Chalky was in prison? I hope Nucky had nothing to do with it.

If there's one thing I want in this final season it's for Mickey Doyle to survive. He probably strawberry floating will, too  Somehow.

The Margaret plot is actually interesting for once! I can see this going all tits up for Nucky.

About 2/3 through S4, just watched the ep where Chalky nearly gets strangled I have a feeling things are only going to get worse for him.

I really want a Capone spin-off series to be made.

He REALLY needs a spin-off series. It would be strawberry floating incredible.

Also yeah, I was fearing for Chalky's life the entirety of season 4. There was always a sense of dread around any scene of his. Really tense stuff.

Hot damn, I'd argue that this week's episode was among the best the show has to offer. Fantastic from start to finish. The flashbacks were great and even Margaret was entertaining. She should be drunk all the time. But the highlight was obviously Capone. strawberry floating hell!!  He does a Joe Pesci 'funny how' routine almost better than the original. Every scene he's in you feel like someone's gonna die. And then the end :o Good to see that they're setting up the endgame and not leaving it to the last minute. Only 4 episodes left! :o

Goddamn you HBO!
