Update!

I really should start to capture the nomination data too. It is probably more insightful than voting patterns, but I just haven't set up a system for it yet.

If I die, please take a look at the nominations! Otherwise, I'll aim to do it tomorrow. :D

"The Sound of Silence"

The tribe with the fewest posts in the game thread tomorrow wins the contest.

All other game mechanics and rules remain as normal.

Good luck!

Are we all in agreement to forgoe the streak in order to win this tomorrow?

We'll have to review towards the end of the day. If we're the only people not to post, it may identify us. Hopefully it will be fine though!

Hi all

Cora - you sent the kill PM for DML before it could be claimed (i.e. yesterday not today) which is the only reason I've not actioned it. As such I'll be able to swap it as per your other PM, but normally this wouldn't have been possible, as Kills happen immediately i.e. had you sent the PM to kill DML after midnight, he'd be being killed imminently!

Apologies for the poor quality format (I couldn't be bothered to do something more fancy than copy and paste on this one), but here is the nomination data to date:

Image

I have coloured in the somewhat curious votes in grey.

Note that the days that Satralies (TYEM) was up for vote, DarkRula and Curls both voted together and for a competing candidate. When cross referencing this to their second round votes, both are occasional voters (approx 50% of votes) and neither has voted for TYEM. I suspect they are Tribe Yer Eyes Mate.

And then we come to Vermi. Vermi has fluttered between voting for candidates who have since been revealed to be TYEM, Pro-Village and us. Which suggests Vermi may sit in Vigilantes. Cross referencing this to Vermi's second round votes, we can see that Vermi has voted for all teams bar TYEM. However, the fact that Vermi helped put confirmed TYEM Satrailes up for vote, makes me think that his second round votes for Vigilantes are intentional to disguise his identity. Especially when on one of those days, he was the only player to do so.

I believe that Tsunade is either TYEM or Vigilantes, based on the fact that she voted to interrogate Clarkman (Pro Village). Today's vote should clear this up.

As you can see on the screenshot, the lack of data on Vigilantes is really holding back analysis in this game. Hopefully we can nail him tomorrow and start to fill in some blanks.

FYI

You still have a Save in the "bank" from your consecutive posting streak on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd.

Prep for my post to be made later... *check results of event before posting as outcome impacts theory*

Well that event was certainly different! Well done Dan for coming up with the idea. It's hard to stay quiet, but it was fun sitting there and watching the events play out.

It was actually really interesting to sit and watch the following people posting during the silence event:

DML
Vermillion
Preezy
Memento Mori
Pedz
aayl1
DarkRula
Tsunade
Curls

Nine people. That's suspiciously close to the number of people in a tribe! Is it possible that one Tribe decided to keep their streak going? This post suggests that there was an attempt to go for the streak:

aayl1 wrote:Posting for streak. Not been following the reason for Tsunade being up so don't care/have any idea what she'd be on.

But for the streak to continue, the entire tribe needs to post that day, right?

Well some others certainly seemed to be posting for the streak.

DarkRula wrote:Hey, all. Just wanted to say you're all uncool losers who will be beaten by the best tribe in this game.

Yeah... that'll make 'em post.

And then of course, we have the outright ridiculous, slanderous nonsense, which I wont hold a grudge about because clearly it too was also just for the streak.

DML wrote:Sprouty probably a wolf. Thats my post for today.

Could it be that we have a whole tribe of players attempting to keep their streak up?
(plus a confused player from another team...)

But what tribe do they belong to, I hear you ask?

Would you be interested to know that last week, these eight players placed a total of 3 votes for Vigilantes, combined? Of course, we are all devious and scheming people who may occasionally
vote for our own Tribe, but just 3 votes between 9 people for an entire week seems suspiciously low, doesn't it?

Imagine the fun we could have if this theory is true, together we'll be nailing Vigilantes to the floor every day for nearly two full weeks, with an 8 out of 9 chance of a correct interrogation each day! There will be points falling out of their noses, points spraying up the wall, buckets and buckets of juicy points and Vigilante blood!

In order to evidence that this is not a wild excuse to get back at DML for suggesting that I am a wolf, I shall skip DML and put the second player to post up for the vote instead. I do not promise guaranteed points, but what I offer is the potential to open the floodgate of points! Now that's worth a vote, isn't it?

It's Vigilante hunting time!

I may need it tomorrow if my plan to out an entire Tribe turns out to be correct.

I loved the event mate. I hope you have a plan to resolve the current two tribe, zero post draw! :slol:

I had to tie myself up to stop myself from voting yesterday... plus I did some kinky stuff to make it worthwhile.

Curls wrote:...Guess we see who didn't post at all yesterday and go from there.

Or, we could focus on those who did vote - especially the ones just following orders.

PostWeekend List Event
by Sprouty » Fri Sep 30, 2022 11:54 am

Herdanos wrote: BONUS CONTEST A

"GR loves a list"

This Contest will run between now and the end of Sunday (2nd October).

During that time, all players must post a list of eight players in the thread, along with the Tribes they believe those eight players to be aligned to.

Your list must include at least one correct answer - if it does not, your list will be treated as a non-submission.

For all those players who fail to post a list (or post a list with no correct answers), I will randomly reveal one Tribe that that player is not on, publicly in the game thread on Monday.

List editing is not allowed and if I see evidence of this I will deduct points.

The player whose list contains the most correct answers will win the Contest for their Tribe. However I will not inform their Tribe which player won the Contest for them.

The number of correct answers (i.e. out of eight) on the winning list will be publicly revealed.

If a player is eliminated between now and Sunday they will not be required to post a list and if they do, it will be discounted.

If there is a tie, the Tribe with the highest average score will win.

If anyone happens to post a list with all eight correct answers, a secret will be revealed to the thread.

Good luck!

Things to note:

There is a penalty for not taking part. Therefore even if you think you have no chance of winning, take part! The cost of not taking part is a free random interrogation against you. Do not mention this in topic, as it would be great if other tribes dont spot this.

The same penalty applies if you fail to name on correct answer.

Play tactically. Your guesses can give away which tribe you are in, so spread the vote, or for the case of Chris and I, we could vote for all players for the tribe of which we are confirmed not a member.

On a side note, I've messaged Dan to ask whether the players names guessed need to be alive as there will be a minimum of 7 dead players come Sunday evening with tribes confirmed. I imagine he wont accept my loophole! :slol:

Edit: He has confirmed they must be alive. :(

I really like this as an idea for an event!

I think I will probably aim for 8/8 for the street cred, with 2 from each tribe if I can (will probably name Sprouty and Chris tbh) and will post my list here before I chuck it into the main thread just incase anyone has any strong opposition to the suggestions. I'll probably wait till Sunday evening to post too so we don't give anything away to the other tribes.

I suppose if anyone gets 8/8 correct then it will potentially be quite clear to all tribes which one it is as they can verify each list against their own tribe mates. So if anyone manages it then it will be a huge info dump for everyone in the thread and be very chaotic which could be useful for us to lay low in thread

There is also a world where we intentionally throw by submitting lists but making sure only one answer is correct so that we're not penalised but don't give away any other info? Intentionally low scoring doesn't seem particularly useful from what I can tell though?
