Watched it last night, has a TV show ended in such a perfect way

I'm not really sure his plan would work. There's nothing stopping the civil suit happening other than Julie being satisfied that someone took the blame.
It was not Saul's plan to
exonerate Kim. He states he lied about Kim (the false details Saul fed to the police was given to Kim in the phone call we didn't get to hear) in order for her to come to court so she could hear what he has to say. He then admitted he was lying to get her there. He wanted to take responsibility for his actions and wanted Kim to know about his regrets and was not undermining what Kim said in her affidavit, so she is still potentially liable for a civil suit.Though if I had to guess I would agree that
Cheryl probably would be satisfied that someone took the blame and will not sue Kim. Cheryl was pissed in the previous episode but also on some level seemed to respect her for eventually doing the right thing Moggy wrote:I thought it was a perfect ending.
But at the same time I was shouting "WHAT THE strawberry float ARE YOU DOING SAUL!" at the TV.
Yeah me too. Though they weren't going for realistic they was going for poignant and meaningful, from a narrative point of view sort of made sense
He'd rather Kim felt something for him than get off with a 7 stretch but....the rest of his life in jail! Also he's in a fictionalised version of ADX Florence. ADX is the worst of the worst of US prisons and houses some very dangerous people https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ADX_Florence . Its implied he's returned to his Jimmy persona and has some redemption but unfortunately realistically he end up back in his Saul ways in order to survive. I know he is treated like a local celebrity but at some point he's going to be pressured into doing something bad by one of the other inmates Clarkman wrote:Loved the finale. Pitch perfect. Cameos didn't add much, but the time machine theme was a really finely poised choice.
Loved the Cameos,
Bryan Cranston crushing it as always. Slipped seamlessly into the role at both periods of his trajectory in both episodes. I like that didn't romanticise him
they portrayed at his most arrogant and petty, a guy with a superiority complex who couldn't even entertain a thought experiment without being a pompous twat. I actually mouthed 'strawberry float off' when he said 'speak up!' and 'stay in your lane'.
Marie was a nice surprise, between her and
Betsy Kettleman they've really spoilled us on the MILF front this season
If anything I was a little more disappointed with
Mikes final scene. Was hoping for something a little more poignant
maybe a heart-to-heat with his granddaughterrather than [mainly] a vehicle for Sauls emotional journey.
The
Chuck scene was the best part of the episode, perfectly encapsulated their complex relationship in such a short scene.
