My son sings along to the We Buy Any Car advert whenever it comes on the radio so I LOVE it

This is only acceptable if you do the dance when he sings.

The Expedia ones are even worse.

In fact all travel/holiday ads are awful and annoying.

What’s wrong with them?

The worst adverts at the moment remain the ones for Verisure, which have somehow now developed a running narrative between them.

Worst single advert is the Carmoola one, which has a real ‘developed by the losing team on The Apprentice’ vibe to it.

Woman saying that Webuyanycar have just bought her car despite it having outstanding finance, so now she can get a convertible. She’s so excited about immediately getting further into debt that she gets out of the car and does a dance.

Whatever nappy brand that thought using the word “poonami” would be funny, without realising what else it sounds like.

NatWest and its “Mettle” cultural appropriation. Metal fans have been treated as a joke by the mainstream for decades. Now these strawberry floaters think they can use us to advertise banking?

Do you consider yourself a metal head?

This one, however, is excellently done. Just a shame it’s for a banana split of an industry.

Depends on the definition. I used to be a long-haired, leather-jacket scruff; now I’m just a scruff. Music-wise, I like all kinds of guitar noise, leaning towards the heavier. Cultural metal head, maybe not. Metal fan, definitely, and I’ve been looked down on for it - enough to resent it now being exploited.

Considering some of the metal fans I used to see on various forums, there's a good reason for that.

I don't think musical taste is the issue there.

I'd like to think of myself as a music fan, but I'll be going to Maiden next month and love traditional "metal".
