I was the seer working with jiggles in the past game.
I don't remember the details as well as he does, but I think I had seered someone with a one-off unique role and the seering came back 'regular forumite with a special ability' or something like that.

I don't have the PM any more to check.

Jiggles said this morning that in a previous game where he was a seer. He seered someone and the result came back as "villager with a special role" rather than "witch doctor". Or at least words to that effect. Maybe Jiggles could clarify this again, or i could find the post for you......

Really?! I must have missed that post, but that's a pretty big deal and a pretty big blow to Parkseys plan.

No, the Seer said my full role - title and everything.

It could have been a guess, but it would be such a lucky guess and a massive punt.

If they guessed wrong, I would have said in here. But they got it 100% nailed on.

And they said to me that Cynthia told them the full role.

Think about it - if she says I just have a special ability, that is a usual Seer power. Mods will Seer as Mods and the whole point of the EAS is that he wont. Another spanner in the works, like the way Jiggles would describe it, wouldn't work.

The EAS is the only Mod with Seer protection, as far as I am aware.

There may be a neutral power - like Dark Ritual's Village Idiot, but I would imagine not another Mod that is safe from Seering.

I am not the Village Idiot either.

Previous games don't matter when it comes to things like that. Every game could be different.

Also if Parkseys role is as random as he suggests(maybe even new) and the person who contacted gim git it right they'd never have guessed it. This is assuming Parkseys on the up 'n' up and isn't bullshitting us. Which he seems to be on the up 'n' up.

Archaeon wrote:Yes but if he's a mod he'll show up as one. The only reason why seers would be scared of approaching Parksey would be if he turned up as a regular.

Also jiggles could very well be lying about his past games.

But if the seers dont have the "password", Parksey might not let them into his club, and he might expose them somehow. Which would be tricky.

Im sure Parksey will make assurances that their identity is safe.

Although there are still holes that a ballsy mod could exploit in that case and come out with the name of a seer.

Im just trying to plug those holes.

I dont think the mods would do that anyway because theyre a bunch of pussys.

EDIT: disregard that in light of what parksey has posted. Thanks

Why would CYNTHIA tell them the full role? nvmd

Also, remember two special roles got killed yesterday, which could suggest the mods know stuff. That means they could also have known your role from the same mysterious source and they're tricking you to get your trust.

To be honest, if the Seers dont want to trust each other, but Seer me and know my role, I could just coordinate their Seerings if that is less risk?

Just tell them all who the others are picking and the results, but no names of the other Seers?

Parkseys role can't be overly important or he wouldn't risk it by saying he was 'special'

The only other person I have trusted is my witch doctor, and he is getting Seered tonight, I think.

We will know then, if he is the leak. If he is legit, then it hasn't come from me. If he is a Mod or a regular member, then there is the leak.

Even if he isn't trustworthy, my role is still 100% safe, as am I. I would have just been naive in trusting him, but I still have faith he is genuine.

He contacted me after he protected me.

Obviously the fact he protected me and then I got attacked proved my innocence. And, obviously, because I got a PM from Cynthia after the attack K knew it was me they were after.

If you were protected, wouldn't it make sense to 'not' tell the mods? That way they would waste a kill.

But they probably already know that he's protected tonight anyway. That was the plan all along after all.
