My wording was spun, but it was really functionally no different. I would have stepped in had it been close, but it was always my assumption that in previous games when you stood you automatically voted for yourself. Therefore, by running, everyone had 1 vote (their own), and by voting for someone else you transferred your vote and coincided.

You can either assume that everyone running automatically has one vote and votes for themselves when throwing their hat into the ring, or they have no votes. It doesn't change the actual outcome, just the wording.

For clarity's sake, though, it's easier to just say you cannot vote for yourself going forward.

I'm looking forward to banning the gooseberry fool out of you.

Anyway, I feel like detective rappers should get on the case and start building up a network. The chances that you've seered the Steve are pretty slim, so let's not get bogged down with that.

They can trust me. I am in a position of power, after all.

I welcome all seerings.

Because they could be the Alpha  Specials are the only people detectives know 100% aren't on the other team.

Okay, whatever.

Reading through the sign-up thread, I forgot I suffered the humility of being the only successful vigilante kill, I can't remember what exactly made me get Seered in the first place?

I was on a night out as well at the time, and was checking the thread on my phone. Totally ruined my bants when I saw my name come up under than infamous blood splatter.

What did I do to get Seered that time?

My fellow vamps had a dastardly plan a-brewin' but that was just totally unexpected - a prime example of a Vigilante doing some good.

On the one hand, you have a 1/69 chance on the first night, that the person you Seer as a regular member IS the Evil Admin Steve.

Personally, I am not sure whether I would take the chance, but you would be hitting some extremely long odds and being tremendously unlucky if you put your faith in that first villager and he turned out to be the EAS.

With three Seers though, we must hope that one gets lucky and hits a special role early on - so it might not feel like it with so many numbers, but it is still very important who you Seer these first few nights.

:fp: someone ban me now spare me obsessing over this thread for next few weeks. Some of the comments I've read show the regular forum members have no chance. Idiots or disruptive players, rarely much useful info.

It stands to reason that in a game of 80 people with only 12 special roles, a lot of people are annoyed at being normal and get bored and don't try.

The people with seering ability need to make sure that they create at least two groups from anyone cleared as a non moderator.

That way if you accidently put 'Steve' in to a safe group because they didn't show up as a Moderator, you've only lost a portion of your villagers.

And lastly, don't share your identity with anyone unless they show up as a special role after you've seered them. At least until we find and kill 'Steve'

Yeah, for Christ's sake, try and shore up these special cliques you form, so that the chain of command doesn't go back to the Seer. We can lose a few Seered villagers, but a special ability or Seer themselves is extremely damaging.
