Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 & Happy Home Paradise DLC live from Nov 5th 2021!

Hello again everyone, in whats felt like a far too quick time of 19 months, Animal Crossing New Horizons is finally getting its first and probably its only paid DLC alongside by far the biggest update the game has seen so far in its lifespan.
Obviously I'm not going to go into everything is this hastily copied and pasted 'new' topic but I will mention a few things that have really got me excited for this update to be released,
- Returning NPCs, Animal Crossing New Horizons is a fantastic entry in the series but its always felt a little lacking with regards with how few returning faces there was (or no face if you happened to be Blanca!), that has now been rectified somewhat (although Blanca has sadly been omitted again by the looks of it ) with popular villagers returning like Brewster and Kapp'n to name but a couple! I can't wait to see Brewster again
- Farming & cooking, I remember to try and scratch the AC itch on my Switch prior to it releasing, I was recommended Stardew Valley time and time again, time and time again I just couldn't get into it at all, I loved the premise but I felt the clock was always against me and couldn't relax playing it at all now with farming and cooking coming I can farm in peace with no time constraints Also all of the sea bass you constantly catch can now be cooked into something delicious
- Gyroids, Gyroids are an odd one, they're wonderfully quirky items that move to the music in your house, not much more to say really.
- Harv's Island, this is a bit of a big one, but Harv's Island is finally becoming useful as you can get the visiting shops (even the shady pirate Redd!) to set up on a permanent basis!
I'll post the most recent direct here as that does a far better job of explaining the updates than I could
Part of the fun of Animal Crossing is finding out and enjoying it at entirely your own pace though, so I will keep the AC: New Horizons 2.0 thread short and not too sweet, with few spoilers. I really hope everyone enjoys the update and the DLC if you're getting it and hope we can continue to discuss it for a long time yet!
Edit, to go alongside the GOTY 2020, they’ve announced a lovely Animal Crossing themed console. Every time they announce something to do with this game it just makes me yearn for it more and more
It’s time....... we have a 25 minute direct focused on Animal Crossing New Horizons! Airing at 2pm on Thursday the 20th of February. Considering how little we’ve seen of this the direct could be something special
Animal Crossing New Horizons has now released! And it’s truly wonderful I hope everyone is enjoying spending their free time on their (temporarily) deserted island
