Got two Gyroids already and the cafe is being installed into the museum so it’s shut today

Oh the cafe is part of the museum? That’s disappointing I was gonna use it as the centrepiece for my little Tokyo section I was gonna build.

Yeah it sadly is, was hoping it’d be standalone (before it was announced in the direct) but having Brewster in with the museum is better than no Brewster!

You needed to time travel as you don't get told about work etc till the morning , so its a rare case where being after 12 the day of release didnt do it because the event of being offered a job etc wont kick in until morning time.

Just started the DLC and I just know I'll be spending a lot more of my time with this, as if my 650+ hours I've already played hasn't been enough :lol:

It does feel good to go back to a game that we all enjoyed so much!

Quite fancied some of the new amiibo cards, but they sold out instantly on the Nintendo Store. Feels like low stock defeats the point of mystery grab bag trading cards, but it is what it is. One of my New Horizons pleasures was to fill the island full of freaks via the previous series cards.

Oh, dang, FPS! I was hoping to get some of the new cards; I have some from the previous series. The cards are expensive, though, as there are only three in a packet; two "standard" cards and one "special". Ironically the "special" cards are less rare as you get one in every pack and there are fewer of them.

Yeah, I had a huge stack of shiny cards that no one really wanted. I think some stores have them though, going to pop into Game later and see what they're chatting.

It's nice to be back playing Animal Crossing, anyway. I feel the new additions will keep me playing for a few more months now, and the only omission I'm a little sad about is the minigame island from New Leaf, as that was fun for some more gamey online sessions.

Best character in the game.

Kapp’n really is a great character, wonderfully catchy music as he ferries you across the seas as well.

i like being able to clap along with Kapp'ns songs, thats a fun touch

It's just a shame you only get one trip with him a day. I'd happily spend more nook points to hear more of his shanties!

If anyone wants amiibos, just let me know and I can knock you some discs up.

I never thought we'd get the items that the villagers hold like books and donuts. I keep playing Redd's game and I just got a pocket magazine, yesterday I won a pocketbook and a load of ice creams, donuts and stuff because I couldn't stop trying to see what I could win :lol:

You can sit reading the books and magazines, randomly stand there holding a donut or can of soda just like the villagers do now!

Also beware, Nintendo have found a glitch with the DLC. They tweeted about it this morning.

The good news is there's a way to print your own amiibo cards.

I've bought some in the past but the chance of actually getting ones you want mean it's better to just make your own.
