In. Ljust about to listen to that album, the artwork alone is pretty genius.

In.

Liking the album, it's quite chilled out. I had it on while I was doing a bit of work, it's good background music. I reckon 'Ruby Go Home' is my favorite track, nice and upbeat.

7/10

I'd like to play if that's OK. Was looking to get into some new music, going through a bit of a dry patch at the mo. I'll give the current record a listen tomorrow. :)

May I take this opportunity to express my eternal gratitude to whoever picked Electric Six's 'Kill' in the first Album Club. They're one of fave bands now.

Thee Oh Sees- Help: 6/10

It was nice to listen to and was a nice departure from my usual tastes, but I have to admit nothing oin the album particularly grabbed me or hooked me and wanted me wanting more. Decent album though.

Yeah! That makes it all worth it!

I regret picking that album, it's not that great. Should've gone with Switzerland, Zodiac or I Shall Exterminate Everything Around Me That Restricts Me From Being The Master, I think I was just in the mood for that one at the time though. Never mind, if one person liked it then it was worth doing.

Would give them a solid 8/10.

Wasn't expecting them to sound like classic psych or progressive rock so it was a very nice surprise. Will listen to more of their stuff in the future. :D

Thee Oh Sees : Help - 6/10

Yeah, this wasn't really my thing to be honest, but I still ended up nodding along towards the end. I think the production really helps, it's got that really stripped back 70's sound, and that works wonders. Not sure it'll be something I'll add to my collection, but I'm glad I listened to it. Cheers OnlyShallow! :-)

Glad some of you guys are liking this. I wasn't expecting everyone to get it, but if you are into Nuggets/psychedelia/early garage punk/The Cramps then it is pretty bang on the money. If you like that whole psyche thing Jay you should also check out Sic Alps, they are part of the whole San Francisco garage punk scene that is going on just now but have more of an early Floyd vibe about them.

I actually love Kill. I've listened to all their stuff now and I still think it's great. Perhaps I'm a little biased because it was album that got me into them but strawberry float it. 8-)

6/10 after listening 1 and a half times.
Some good guitar work, and the drums carried a few songs through. Felt that the vocals were too unclear. While I feel that the production described above worked with the general sound, I would have preferred the vocals to be more prominent.

:fp: Pretending to be a music critic

Edit: will listen again, it usually takes me a few listens to get into an album/band, even if i do end up liking them.

The vocals are meant to be like that, that is the whole thing. He sings through an amped up telephone microphone.

I appreciate that it isn't a mistake, I'd just prefer if he didn't
